Back-to-back defeats by Everton and Manchester City in December put a sizeable dent in Arsenal's chances of winning the league this season – Arsene Wenger's men now well behind leaders Chelsea.

The Gunners can't afford many more slip-ups for the rest of the campaign, and there's another Champions League tussle against Bayern Munich on the horizon, so bolstering their squad in January will be important.
