Injured Reus insists rehab remains on schedule

Borussia Dortmund have released a statement claiming Marco Reus' recovery from a knee injury remains on track.

The Germany international suffered a partial tear of the right cruciate ligament during Dortmund's DFB-Pokal final win over Eintracht Frankfurt in May.

"I'm completely on track with my plan. The rehab has been great so far," Reus said.

The 28-year-old was limited to 24 appearances in all competitions last season, although he still found the net 13 times.

"As a rule, recovery from surgery on the posterior cruciate ligament – which is usually around eight months – is known to take longer than it would following an operation on the anterior cruciate ligament," the club added.
