Zwane wins inaugural Safja Men’s Footballer of the Season award

Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane beat off competition from teammate Hlompho Kekana, Kaizer Chiefs duo Samir Nurkovic and Lebogang Manyama as well as Peter Shalulile, to win the inaugural South African Football Journalists’ Association (Safja) Men’s Footballer of the Season award.

Safja is a newly-formed organisation aiming to give football writers in the country a unified voice. The organisation currently has 108 members, all of whom voted for the award winner.
