Morocco can't finish top of Group C without a bit of help elsewhere, but their World Cup 2026 destiny is very much in their hands as they face eliminated Haiti in Atlanta.

The Atlas Lions are clear favourites to pick up a win that will take them to seven points and finally guarantee their place in the round of 32. Whether that match is to be played in the United States or Mexico depends on the other result in the group.

Morocco vs Haiti: key information

Morocco are all but through with four points but Mohamed Ouahbi can be expected to take their final group-stage match very seriously with first place still on the table at kick-off.

PSV's Bayern Munich-bound star Ismael Saibari has scored both of Morocco's goals, spectacularly so, but plenty of his colleagues will fancy getting in on the act with Haiti's resistance broken by Brazil 3-0 last time out.

For the Grenadiers, only pride remains. The head-to-head tie-breaker means they can only finish bottom of the group

Morocco vs Haiti: World Cup 2026 Preview

Haiti lost both of their previous group stage fixtures to nil. Scoring a first World Cup goal for more than half a century would be a modest milestone but not a meaningless way to close out Group C.

But it's Morocco whose consequences are real in the context of World Cup 2026. The North African side picked up a well deserved draw against Brazil, before beating Scotland through Saibari's goal after 71 seconds in Boston.

Their reward is the easier final game on paper. The Atlas Lions' job now is to beat Haiti and bank on Scotland taking something from their concurrent fixture against the Selecao.

Morocco's major tournament pedigree is improving year after year thanks to investment in the game and the FA's heightened standing as a leader within CAF and future World Cup host.

On the pitch, reaching semi-finals at a successive tournaments, or even going further, must now be the target. Winning this group wouldn't prove anything in that regard but as a statement of intent it could be significant.

We'll learn little about Morocco against Haiti, but if they can finish above Brazil after beating the other two teams and holding their own in game one against the five-time winners, it'll be time to pay attention.

Morocco vs Haiti: Group C

Team News

Morocco XI: Yassine Bounou (GK); Achraf Hakimi, Redouane Halhal, Chadi Riad, Anass Salah-Eddine; Sofyan Amrabat, Neil Aynaoui; Brahim Diaz, Ismael Saibari, Bilal El Khanouss, Ayoub El Kaabi

It's an attacking line-up for Morocco, who start with El-Kaabi over Azzedine Ounahi to form a dangerous front four. Amrabat replaces Ayyoub Bouaddi in midfield and there are starts at the back for Salah-Eddine and Halhal.

Haiti XI: Placide (GK); Jean-Kevin Duverne, Ricardo Ade, Hannes Delcroix, Martin Experience; Josue Casimir, Danley Jacques, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Ruben Providence; Wilson Isidor, Lenny Joseph

Isidor has been selected over Frantzdy Pierrot up front. Carlens Arcus misses out at the back, with Joseph picked in a less defensive 11.
