Haiti vs Scotland: World Cup 2026 Preview
This is a tough group for Scotland, but then they're a tough team. 2026 is the culmination of Clarke's work and the timing could be perfect.
If Scotland hit their top level, they could easily spring an upset. If they don't, a win against Haiti still gives them a realistic chance of getting out of the group for the very first time.
This will be their first meeting with Haiti, who qualified quite serenely thanks in part to three rival CONCACAF nations hosting an expanded 48-team World Cup. They topped their second group ahead of Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
In all, they lost two of their 10 qualifiers to join Curacao, Panama and the three co-hosts at their confederation's summer showpiece. Haiti have a win against Brazil in their record books but have never played Morocco either.
Head coach Sebastian Migne has never been to Haiti, whose national team have been playing matches overseas because of the political situation at home. Recently converted Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor has scored twice in his first four caps and will be a surprise package for nobody in the Scotland team.
