The Premier League’s standout fixture of the weekend pits Manchester City against the side that ruined their unbeaten start to the season in December.
Pep Guardiola’s side might not actually top the table by the time this game rolls around, what with Liverpool playing Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday and needing only a point to reclaim their place at the summit.
But let this be another reminder to us all that it’s only ruddy February – and this game will be no cakewalk for the reigning Premier League champs.
These two sides have managed to go three seasons without drawing against one another in the Premier League (when they did it twice for good measure), but Manchester City boast the dominant record since then having won five of the last seven league meetings.
But for today’s quiz, we’re going much further back than that – to April 1994 in fact, when these sides were both unfashionable urchins of a shiny new Premier League and battled out a 2-2 draw at Maine Road.
