Honduras rest trio for Turkey friendly

TEGUCIGALPA - Honduras will leave regular goalkeeper Noel Valladares, defender Osman Chavez and midfielder Ramon Nunez (pictured) at home when they play Turkey in a World Cup warm-up match next month, coach Reinaldo Rueda has said.

The Colombian coach, who did not include the trio in a 20-man squad for the friendly in Istanbul on March 3, was quoted on the Honduran Federation website as saying it was better they worked on their form with their clubs.

Honduras face European champions Spain, Switzerland and Chile in Group H at the World Cup in South Africa in June/July, their first finals since 1982.
