Pearson upbeat despite Leicester cup defeat

Leicester - the only Football League side left in the competition at the quarter-final stage - struggled to cope with the pace and ability of their top-flight opponents and found themselves behind after only eight minutes courtesy of Aleksandar Kolarov's free-kick.

Edin Dzeko then struck either side of half-time to give Manuel Pellegrini's men control, although Lloyd Dyer did manage a late consolation before the game finished 3-1 in the visitors' favour.
