The 2018 World Cup has had it's fair share of shocks: Germany's early exit, Argentina falling apart against Croatia, but surely the biggest of them has now happened. Yep, England actually won a penalty shootout in a World Cup.

History was against the Three Lions. Aside from the practice shootout at the end of a friendly with Belgium in 1998 (which we're not counting), England have been involved in eight shootouts in major tournaments. A triumph over Spain in Euro '96 and, of course, against Colombia in 2018.

Apart from that, it’s been six defeats at World Cups and European Championships, but at least these 28 players had the stones to step up and take one. This is every player to take a shootout penalty for England when it mattered; score or miss.

Note: There’s 40 answers below but it's only 28 players, as several brave souls stepped up more than once – including two players who’ve done it three times. Now, six minutes are on the clock and let us know how you do @FourFourTwo – we’ll retweet the best scores, if you don’t give answers away. Challenge some friends while you’re at it.
