Coronavirus crisis could impact mental health of ‘at risk’ players, says doctor

Scottish football’s medical chief has warned the coronavirus pandemic could exacerbate mental health problems among “at risk” players.

Dr John MacLean, the Scottish Football Association’s chief medical consultant, encouraged players to refer themselves for counselling or for families members to seek help on their behalf if required.
