Sekhukhune United swoop in for Talent Chawapiwa

Sekhukhune United have continued to bolster their squad by officially confirmed the signing of Zimbabwean international Talent Chawapiwa.

The 29-year-old parted ways with AmaZulu after struggling for regular game-time under coach Benni McCarthy last season, having only made 20 appearances across all competitions for Usuthu during the 2020-21 season.

However, the Zimbabwean international has now found a new home at Sekhukhune United after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract ahead of the 2021-22 DStv Premiership season.

Chawapiwa will bring a wealth of experience to the DStv Premiership newcomers having previously turned out for Harare City, ZPC Kariba, FC Platinum, Baroka FC and Usuthu.

"Sekhukhune United FC is pleased to announce the signing of the 29-year-old Talent Chawapiwa from AmaZulu FC) ahead of the 2021/22 season," read a statement from Sekhukhune on Wednesday.
