Sir Alex Ferguson left a lot behind at Manchester United – but how much did he pass on to his players along the way? Dozens of them have carved out managerial careers themselves after time spent under the Scot at Old Trafford, 21 of them in dugouts across England's top four divisions.

That does mean, though, that you won't find the likes of Gary Neville, Henrik Larsson and Laurent Blanc here; neither is there Paul Parker, Neil Webb or Clayton Blackmore, who didn't boss above non-league.
