Albania Euro 2024 squad: Sylvinho's full team ahead of the tournament
The Albania Euro 2024 squad is close to being finalised ahead of the tournament in Germany this summer
The Albania Euro 2024 squad announcement is fast approaching, as the Balkan nation prepares for the huge tournament this summer in Germany.
Featuring a mix of experience - Lazio defender Elseid Hysaj, Berat Gjimshiti of Atalanta and Konyaspor forward Sokol Cikalleshi - and promising young talent - Armando Broja of Chelsea and Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani - there's plenty of reasons to be excited about the Albania Euro 2024 squad.
Featuring in just their second-ever major tournament in Germany, following their Euro 2016 exploits, Albania reached Euro 2024 with a strong qualifying campaign that saw them top their group for the first time in the nation's history. In doing so, they finished above Czech Republic and Poland, highlighting their achievement.
There's plenty of brainpower in the dugout, too, with former Arsenal, Barcelona and Brazil defender Sylvinho managing the Albania Euro 2024 squad. But, despite their qualifying exploits, the Eagles know they need to be on top of their game to progress to the knockout stages, with a difficult group awaiting them.
Drawn into Group B, Albania will face Spain, Croatia and holders Italy, in what is arguably the most difficult Euro 2024 group. Regardless, upsets are commonplace in international tournaments - Albania will just be hoping it's them who can spring a surprise.
As with every team taking part in the tournament, FourFourTwo will bring you all the latest on Albania as we report live from the European Championship, as well as information on how to watch every game and all the fixtures at the tournament.

Albania manager: Sylvinho
Following short spells in charge of Lyon and Corinthians, Albania decided to take a risk and hire Sylvinho as their manager in January 2023. That risk paid off, with the Brazilian former full-back delivering Euro 2024 qualification to the nation by topping a group containing Poland and Czech Republic.
In his 11 games in charge he has won five, drawn three and lost three, though that form will need to improve if Albania are to reach the last 16 of Euro 2024.
Albania's star player
Elseid Hysaj
A versatile defender capable of playing at both right-back and left-back, Hysaj is one of the only remaining members of Albania's Euro 2016 squad. They'll need all of his experience this summer, too, with the Lazio defender closing in on becoming the record appearance maker for Albania.
Armando Broja and Kristjan Asllani will be there to help the 30-year-old out, too, with both youngsters talented individuals essential to Albania's plight. Without that trio, the Balkan nation risk being humiliated in Germany.
