England defender Tino Livramento's World Cup may be over already
Tino Livramento of England has been ruled out of World Cup 2026, according to multiple reports.
The right-back was called up by Thomas Tuchel as England's deputy to Reece James, but will now miss the tournament, through a calf injury.
This is the first tournament squad that the Newcastle United star has been called up to – but now, the Three Lions are lining up their replacement.

Livramento has picked up a calf issue after being limited to just 17 appearances in the Premier League last term with Newcastle, where he will return to begin his recovery.
England have a deadline of 24 hours before their first game – which is set for 9pm BST tomorrow – to replace the full-back.

As per FIFA's rules, Tuchel can select one of the players he chose not to bring to North America from the 55-man provisional longlist he named, before whittling that down to his current 26.
FourFourTwo understands that Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is one name in contention to replace Livramento.

Djed Spence is another option at right-back, while Livramento's club-mate, Dan Burn, can cover at left-back, meaning that Chalobah may be used at centre-back as well as right-back if called upon.
Bukayo Saka is an injury doubt for the first fixture against Croatia, too, as he is still suffering from Achilles tendinitis, which limited his appearances for champions Arsenal towards the end of the 2025/26 season.
Livramento was ruled out of contention in September last year with a knee injury, which saw him miss 13 games for club and country, before suffering another knee issue in December.
The 23-year-old missed a combined 90 days of action for the Toon with hamstring and thigh problems after Christmas.
Following a cruciate ligament tear in 2022 while at Southampton, Livramento has managed to avoid a long-term injury of a similar length, suffering two ankle injuries in 2023/24, and missing just one game of the following season through injury.
The Newcastle man has won six caps for his country.
