Sevilla winger Diego Perotti - a reported target of Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid - has quashed speculation regarding his future after signing a contract extension with the La Liga outfit.
Perotti has made just 19 league appearances for the Andalusians after breaking onto the first-team scene this summer. But his performances have already attracted the interests of a number of European clubs, with Arsenal, City and Real all believed to be preparing bids for the 21-year-old. However, the Argentine starlet has now put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain with the La Liga club until 2015, with a release fee of €48 million included in the contract to ensure potential suitors do not steal him away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. "I'm very happy. This is something that has been coming for a while," he said in AS.
“I want to continue here for many years here. Sevilla have been very good to me from day one.
"Everything has gone very fast, the club trusted in me at a time when very few had done so. [Manolo] Jimenez gave me the opportunity to be where I am today and will always be grateful to Sevilla."
