Frank Lampard is creating a Chelsea in his own image. The all-time top Premier League scorer for the Blues (there’s one answer for you already) has got a side that puts away goals for fun. Only Manchester City and Leicester have more than them this season, and they have been on the right end of 8-0 and 9-0 spankings respectively.
(We’ll glance over the fact that, like some sort of latter-day Zdenek Zeman reincarnation, only Southampton, Norwich and Watford – all in the relegation zone – have conceded more than Lampard’s side.)
Over a third of the league goals so far have come from one source: 22-year-old Tammy Abraham.
Sadly, his eight goals mean he doesn’t quite make it onto our list yet. But by just missing out, he joins past luminaries of banging them in for European giants such as Andriy Shevchenko and Samuel Eto’o, neither of whom quite made it to 10 Premier League goals for Chelsea.
There are 44 names to get, and eight minutes to get them in.
However, we warn you that some of the ‘90s throwback answers are seriously hard. If you manage to get the player whose career started at Enfield, ended at St Albans City, and included three stints at QPR, we’ll buy you a pack of Coors Light*.
