Liverpool keeping tabs on Ivorian midfielder Idrissa Doumbia after impressive pre-season showing
Liverpool were so impressed by Idrissa Doumbia in their pre-season friendly against Sporting CP that they've decided to start tracking the Ivorian midfielder, according to Record.
The two sides met at the Yankee Stadium in New York yesterday and drew 2-2.
Rumoured Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes scored one of the Portuguese side's goals.
However, it was the defensive midfield display of Doumbia which reportedly caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp and his backroom staff.
However, a move for the 21-year-old is unlikely to come this summer.
Liverpool are instead believed to be patient and will see how the young midfielder develops in 2019/20.
