Neil Lennon will want to see a response from his players when Celtic take on Sparta Prague on Thursday.
The reigning Scottish champions dropped two more points at the weekend, as a 2-2 draw with Hibernian left them 11 points adrift of Rangers at the top of the Premiership. That 4-1 triumph in Glasgow keeps Sparta in contention for a place in the knockout phase, although a failure to win here would be a huge blow to their hopes of finishing above either Lille or Milan.
Celtic remain without Christopher Jullien, James Forrest and Michael Johnston due to various injury problems. Lennon may be tempted to make some changes to his starting XI after criticising his players’ hunger following the draw with Hibernian, with Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard both pushing for recalls.
Sparta may have brushed Celtic aside at Parkhead, but four of their last five matches in all competitions have ended in defeat. That will give Celtic a degree of confidence heading into what can only be described as a must-win match in Prague.
