Liverpool are continuing to pursue Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, but the deal is likely to 'take time'.
The 23-year-old is top of the Reds' transfer wishlist this summer as they aim to add quality on the flanks following the departure of Mo Salah.
Barcola is reportedly keen to join Liverpool after growing frustrated with his lack of minutes at PSG, however a significant hurdle remains before the transfer can be completed.

Barcola has faced plenty of competition for game-time in Luis Enrique's star-studded attack, starting just 21 of PSG's 34 Ligue 1 fixtures last season as they won their fifth successive title.
He has had to battle for a place with 21-year-old Desire Doue for both club and country, which saw him start only four of France's eight World Cup 2026 matches and complete 90 minutes just once during the tournament.
It is why the former Lyon man is keen for a new challenge after three years at PSG, but the transfer could command a British-record fee - eclipsing the £125m Liverpool paid Newcastle United for Alexander Isak last summer.
The Champions League holders reportedly value Barcola at €170m (£145m) but transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano believes the Reds could get him for less than that, saying: “Liverpool are working on a deal for Bradley Barcola, but don’t expect a breakthrough within the next few hours. It’s going to take time for negotiations and discussions.
“I can confirm and explain today: Barcola is very open to and keen on Liverpool. He is attracted by the project. He believes Liverpool would be the perfect option for his future.
“Barcola can’t control anything regarding club-to-club negotiations, and obviously PSG would want a significant fee. I don’t think it’s going to be €170m; I think it will be for less than that.
“Liverpool are in contact, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
Barcola has two years left on his contract at PSG so the European champions are under no pressure to sell, but receiving a huge fee for an unhappy player would suit both parties.
It would also be a statement of intent by Liverpool, who have so far signed only Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet and Spain winger Victor Munoz, from Osasuna, this summer.
The Reds have also been linked with Barcola's France team-mate Maghnes Akliouche, the Monaco winger who is wanted by PSG, and Brazil attacker Rayan, who played under new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth last season.
