Harry Kane has become the quickest player to reach 20 goals in the Champions League.
The Tottenham striker notched a brace as his side qualified for the knockout stage of this season's edition of the competition with a 4-2 victory over Olympiacos on Tuesday.
His second goal in that game was his 20th in Europe's premier tournament, a milestone he has reached in fewer appearances than any other player, as revealed by Opta.
Kane has played just 24 games in the Champions League, giving him a brilliant average of 0.83 goals per match in the biggest club competition in world football.
Former Juventus frontman Alessandro Del Piero was the previous record-holder, with his 20th goal coming in his 26th outing.
Ruud van Nistelrooy reached the 20-mark in 27 games, followed by Filippo Inzaghi (28) and Mario Gomez (32).
Kane made his Champions League debut against Monaco in September 2016 but was unable to find the net in a 2-1 defeat.
He did score in the return fixture at Stade Louis II, however, and also struck in Spurs' 3-1 victory over CSKA Moscow in December of the same year.
Kane netted seven goals in seven Champions League games in 2017/18 as Mauricio Pochettino's men reached the quarter-finals.
And he then hit five in nine European contests last term, helping Tottenham reach the final for the first time in the club's history.
Kane has already bettered his 2018/19 tally this season, having scored six times in five group-stage outings.
And he's now surpassed European greats such as Del Piero, Van Nistelrooy and Inzaghi, while helping Tottenham into the knockout phase of the competition. Not bad for a former Leyton Orient loanee.
