Bray set to join Central Coast Mariners

Green Gully goalkeeper Alastair Bray is set to join A-League outfit Central Coast Mariners for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

FourFourTwo understands Bray, who has been trialling at the club along with Hume City keeper Chris Oldfield, has won the battle for the spot.

The 22-year old will take up the second goalkeeping position alongside Paul Izzo, with Liam Reddy leaving the Gosford club.

A Victorian Institute of Sport graduate, Bray has spent most of his time playing for Melbourne Heart's National Youth League side.

Two years ago he was named Heart's NYL player of the year before joining Bentleigh in 2014, helping the Victorian National Premier League side to the FFA Cup semi-finals.

In 2015 he was part of the Greens outfit that took out the Victorian NPL Grand Final with a 3-1 extra-time win over South Melbourne, before signing for Green Gully at the end of the season.

Bray was a junior at Bulleen FC and was called up by the Olyroos in September.
