Socceroo keeper Mat Ryan's star continues to rise after his stunning game for Valencia overnight helped the Spanish side to a 3-1 win over Monaco in a UEFA Champions League qualifier.
Valencia is now in with a strong chance of qualifying after the Aussie keeper denied Monaco's Bernardo Silva and Mario Pasalic with fantastic saves.
Valencia scored late as they secured the convincing win. Algeria international Sofiane Feghouli put the Spanish side in the driving seat when he found the net from close range with just four minutes left.
Earlier, Rodrigo de Paul and Daniel Parejo had scored for the hosts, with Mario Pasalic replying for the Ligue 1 side early in the second half.
On Wednesday, Ryan was named in the Socceroos' squad for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Bangladesh on September 3 in Perth, WA.
