Ninis linked with Old Trafford transfer

Manchester United and AC Milan are keeping tabs on Panathinaikos starlet Sotiris Ninis, according to reports.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has made more than 40 league appearances for the Greek giants despite his tender age.

And the youngster's impressive form has already earned him international honours, with Ninis having represented his country three times, netting five minutes into his debut against Cyprus in May 2008, becoming Greece's youngest ever scorer.

As a result, the talented teenager has been tipped for the top, with Panathinaikos wisely inserting a €10 million release clause into his current contract that expires in 2012.

But, according to Calciomercato, European heavyweights United and Milan have both been monitoring the youngster's progress, and may be tempted to pay the relatively modest transfer sum for his services in January before his value inevitably escalates.
