Pletikosa sidelined for up to six months

MOSCOW - Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa will be out of action for up to six months after undergoing knee surgery, the Russian Premier League club said on Tuesday.

"Surgery was a success. Rehabilitation will take about six months," Spartak said on their website.

The 30-year-old Croatia international had surgery in Germany on Monday to repair cruciate ligaments which he tore in training on Friday.
