With the World Cup 2026 Round of 32 concluding today, it's fitting that the tournament's poster boy should take to the field. Vozinha's heroics inspired debutants Cape Verde to an unbeaten group stage off the back of a pair of clean sheets, and up next are holders Argentina and another icon of the game – Lionel Messi.

Here's how to watch World Cup 2026 Round of 32 for free from anywhere.

World Cup Round of 32: key information

    Australia vs Egypt: 7:00pm BST / 2:00pm ET / 4:00am AEST (Sat)
    – Argentina vs Cape Verde: 11:00pm BST / 6:00pm ET / 8:00am AEST (Sat)

First up today, however, is Australia's clash with Egypt at AT&T Stadium. Just getting out of their group counts as a major achievement for the Socceroos, but the momentum from their thumping 2-0 victory over Turkey has stalled after a pair of shutouts. However, they're up against a Pharaohs team that's in the grips of an injury crisis headlined by Mohamed Salah's hamstring issue.

Then it's over to the scarcely believable David vs Goliath clash between Argentina and Cape Verde. La Albiceleste cruised into the knockout round off the back of three routine victories, though Messi's six goals, including a first World Cup hat-trick, probably surprised the man himself. Bubista deserves enormous credit for getting Cape Verde this far, and in the 2-2 draw with Uruguay the Sharks showed that they've got teeth to go with their defensive discipline. The sad note for the underdogs is that the Hard Rock Stadium crowd is likely to be dominated by Messi devotees.

The final Round of 32 tie sees Colombia take on Ghana at Arrowhead Stadium, a game that will feature two of the most exciting wingers in the game, in Luis Diaz and Antoine Semenyo. The Man City man, however, has had to curb his attacking instincts so far, and to Carlos Queiroz's credit it's their defensive miserliness that earned the Black Stars a ticket to the knockouts. Los Cafeteros, however, impressed in topping Group K ahead of Portugal, and they've only conceded once so far.
