Watford will be eyeing a move into the automatic promotion places in the Championship when they host Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

The Hornets haven’t graced the top two since November, but avoiding defeat at Vicarage Road will send them ahead of Brentford into second place.

Watford come into the game on a strong run of form, winning five of their last six games including a midweek 2-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers.

The visitors have picked up seven points from their last four games to move eight points clear of the relegation zone, but they fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Luton Town in midweek.

Tom Cleverley and Dan Gosling are injured for Watford and Nathaniel Chalobah is suspended, but top scorer Joao Pedro returns from his ban.

Forest will be without injured striker Lewis Grabban and Ryan Yates’ involvement is doubtful.
