Fans in Melbourne have the chance to experience the excitement of the biggest football tournament ever staged in Australia eight hours before tonight’s kick-off.
The Socceroos’ clash with Kuwait at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium will mark the start of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
But fans too eager to wait for the 8pm whistle can head to the interactive Football Fan Park at City Square from 12 noon.
The dome-shaped football park offers fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spirit of the Cup, get their photos taken interactively with their favourite national team, have their faces digitally painted in their team’s colours, score the winning goal in the virtual penalty shootout and produce their best goal celebrations in the Score and Roar studio.
Football fan parks will be open from 12pm daily at the following locations:
