South Melbourne open at Palm Beach on July 29

South Melbourne's return to the national spotlight comes on July 29 and their FFA Cup clash against Palm Beach SC will be broadcast live.

The four-time Australian league champions head to Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on the opening matchday of the cup.

Broadmeadow Magic's clash at home to Heidelberg United, MetroStars' trip to Blacktown City and the Brisbane Strikers' trip to Hume City are also on the opening day in the round of 32.

New South Wales State League One club Balmain Tigers host A-League champions Melbourne Victory at Leichhardt Oval on August 4.

That game, too, will be broadcast live.

Sorrento FC's clash against Sydney FC has been moved to nib Stadium and will be played on August 5.

Venues have been allocated for all fixtures except the Western Sydney Wanderers' hosting of Brisbane Roar on August 11.

Newcastle Jets will host Perth Glory at Magic Park on the same night.
