Yan Diomande announced himself on the international stage with an impressive display for Ivory Coast against Ecuador at the World Cup.

The RB Leipzig man has been the subject of intense speculation surrounding his future for months, and clubs like Liverpool and PSG will be getting a good look at the winger now.

He may not have produced a goal contribution in his first appearance at the World Cup 2026, but Diomande showed flashes of brilliance and got the rumour mill moving again.

Liverpool have long been mooted as the likely destination for Yan Diomande, but the teenager may have other ideas.

Just last week, Diomande spoke of his admiration for PSG. However, now, his international manager has insisted transfer talk must wait until after the World Cup.

Speaking after the win over Ecuador, Ivory Coast head coach Emerse Faé said: "When we were in France, during the preparation, journalists told me he was about to sign with PSG.

"Here, they tell me he's about to sign with Liverpool. I don't know, but for now, he will focus on the World Cup, and then afterwards, he can think about the rest of his career."

Diomande terrorised Arsenal's Piero Hincapie all night on Sunday and created five goalscoring opportunities for his teammates.

Whatever his future holds, one thing is for sure: this is a player of huge talent who is going places. And his national team boss knows it.

Fae added: "Yan - what can I say? I can't put it into words. He's very talented, but beyond the talent, he's very young and he'll improve.

"He's a kid who works hard, has real team spirit, laughs with everyone, and he listens. He listens to the technical staff whenever he's given advice, and tries to do his best.

"It's easy to work with someone like Yan, he's so talented and has what is needed, plus he can give you the victory and was a real challenge for Hincapié, a Champions League finalist."

Yan Diomande is valued at €90million as per Transfermarkt. He will next be in action for Ivory Coast against Germany on Saturday, June 20 in Group E of the World Cup.
