Brattan returns to Oz as City re-sign Caceres

Melbourne City have bolstered their midfield ahead of the expected departure of Aaron Mooy by signing former Brisbane Roar midfielder Luke Brattan and extending the existing loan of Anthony Caceres.

AAP reports that both players have signed year-long loan deals for the 2016/17 Hyundai A-League season.

Brattan, 26, was last seen in the A-League with the Brisbane Roar before being signed by Manchester City, and subsequently loaned out to Bolton Wanderers, where he failed to make an appearance.

Caceres made 11 appearances and scored one goal after his move from Central Coast Mariners after Round 14 last year featuring in City's lead-in to a semi-final finish.
