Coe among three released by Victory

Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Nathan Coe headlines a trio of players not offered contracts by the A-League champions.

Coe, 30, suffered a season-ending back injury in April and leaves the Victory after playing 73 league games for the club.

The club said it would continue to support Coe through his rehabilitation.

Also not offered contracts were attackers Andrew Nabbout, 22, and Jordan Brown, 18.

Nabbout was never able to kick on after a late brace against Sydney FC in November 2012, when he helped the Victory to a 3-2 win against their rivals.

In a statement, Victory football operations manager Paul Trimboli wished the players well.

"Every player on our list plays a role in the club's on- and off-field success and Nathan, Andrew and Jordan have all contributed in their own way to many great moments during their time with us," Trimboli said.

"Everyone at Melbourne Victory Football Club wishes them well as they further their football careers."

Typical Muscat, Use, abuse and when broken discard the player! Archie's next, he will low ball an offer to him, take it or leave it. He danced around the question of keeping him saying I want to keep him but have to secure other players first. the gut is scum!
