Good news on Troisi injury front

Zulte-Waregem are optimistic Socceroo James Troisi hasn’t played his final game for the club after suffering a hip injury last Friday.

Troisi had to be replaced in the first half of Zulte-Waregem’s Belgian Pro League playoffs clash against Genk due to the injury.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that the Australian “would undergo additional tests this week”, as he bids to prove his fitness.

Initial reports suggested that Troisi would miss a few weeks with the complaint.

Zulte-Waregem have five more guaranteed fixtures this season, with playoffs matches over the next month.

Troisi has spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at the Belgian outfit from Juventus.

The Asian Cup final hero has made 21 appearances and scored five goals for Zulte-Waregem.
