Griffin's team of the week 18

Griffin McMaster has picked his five star team of the week after an intriguing round 18.

GK Eugene Galekovic (Adelaide United)
Was a rock in goals. Made a number of saves to keep Sydney scoreless and has been in solid form.
DL Michael Zullo (Adelaide United)
Playing very well for Adelaide and has been an important part of their great recent form. They are now in the top six. Michael enjoyed a good shift against Sydney FC and helped his side to a clean sheet.
DC Patrick Kisnorbo (Melbourne Heart)
One of the signings of the season in this year’s Aleague. Got on the scorer’s sheet again and as always puts his body on the line. Is a superb defender.
DC Nigel Boogaard (Adelaide United)
Great performance at the back from Nigel. Sydney still had opportunities in the match however he always puts his body on the line when required and has had a good season.
DR James Donachie (Brisbane Roar)
Held himself well in a scintillating contest in front of a full house against Western Sydney Wanderers. Is a hard worker at the back and a deserved member to take his place in the team.
ML Craig Goodwin (Newcastle Jets)
Starred in his performance over the Wellington Phoenix. Scored two cracking goals. His passing, movement and agility is a big asset for the Jets, one of the players to watch for an overseas move at this rate.
MR Fabio Ferreira (Adelaide United)
Totally dominating performance for the Reds in their 3-0 win over Sydney FC. In addition scored one of the great solo goals of the season, showing fantastic determination to put the ball past Janjetovic.
AMC Jame Troisi (Melbourne Victory)
Full honours deserve to James for his starring role for Victory. Was a massive cog in the wheel to help lift the pressure off his team’s shoulders. Coolly slotted home twice to help his team get the three points.
AMC Carlos Hernandez (Wellington Phoenix)
Is really hitting his straps at the Nix and stringing together solid performances. Again got on the scorers sheet and provided opportunities.
SC Stein Huysegems (Wellington Phoenix)
Playing in superb form and having a great season. Has been a big reason why the Nix have entered the top 6. Dribbles at players at pace. Always a danger with the ball at his feet. Scored another goal to put him up the top end of the scorers list.
SC Bruce Djite (Adelaide United)
Is looking sharper this season and got back to really strong form. Helps with the other attacking outlets he has around him. Bruce is coming into form at the right time of the season. Scored a good goal to squeeze past Janjetovic.

Zullo played Left Forward and Ferreira Right Forward in a 4-3-3. I understand you place a 4-4-2 so it doesn't always translate, but you have Zullo way out of place at LB. Although he has played there a bit this year.
Again - Carrusca? Or does he have to transfer to Sydney to get a gig?

He's played left-back quite a lot throughout his career so it works it just makes for a very offensive starting XI.

That line up would cop a heap of goals although they would score plenty as well. Seems a bit archaic to restrict oneself to a 4-4-2 formation when no one in the league actually plays that formation.

Again another unbalanced team that doesn't solely reflect the performances of this round.

Oh I see you moved Ferreira after my original post. Good job.
I need to agitate on behalf of Malik too. He has been awesome this year.
