Jedinak scores again for Palace

Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak made it two goals in two games overnight as Crystal Palace defeated Leicester City 2-0 in the English Premiership.

Jedinak headed home Jason Puncheon’s free-kick on 54 minutes to register his side’s second goal.

The strike comes fresh from Jedinak’s spotkick in last weekend’s 3-2 away triumph at Everton.

The Australian midfielder, who hasn’t been at his best early this season, had missed Palace’s midweek Capital One Cup loss to Newcastle in extra time.

And Jedinak made the break count, rising highest to glance home his side’s second goal inside the far post against the Foxes.

Elsewhere, Robbie Kruse was again on the bench for Bayer Leverkusen, but remained an unused substitute as they drew 0-0 away to SC Freiburg.

Scott McDonald provided the pass for Millwall’s goal in their 2-1 loss to Huddersfield in England’s Championship.
