Socceroos to face South Korea in front of sold-out crowd

A sell-out crowd of almost 80,000 people will witness the Socceroos take on Korea Republic in tomorrow night's Asian Cup final at Stadium Australia.

The final tickets for the blockbuster decider were snapped up on Friday continuing the tournament's record-breaking attendance figures.

It is the eighth sell-out for the Cup, which has already witnessed 561, 178 fans attend 30 matches over 21 days in five cities – five of those sell-outs being for Socceroos games.

The Australians – hoping to go one better than four years ago when they were runners-up to Japan – have attracted more than 190,000 fans so far to their five matches in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle (an average of 38,233) ahead of the finale.
