Suwon FC confirms Djite transfer

Adelaide United has confirmed Bruce Djite is all but set to leave the club destined for Korean K-League club Suwon FC.

United CEO Grant Mayer confirmed on Twitter that 29-year-old Djite will undergo a medical with the Korean outfit on Tuesday.

Suwon FC later confirmed Djite's signature on social media on Tuesday.

The striker, who found form with 11 goals for the A-League champions last season, has previously played in China with Jiangsu Sainty along with two years in Turkey.

Djite’s exit follows Craig Goodwin, Stefan Mauk, Bruce Kamau and Pablo Sanchez who’ve all left the champions this off-season.

After the Adelaide Advertiser broke the story on Monday, Mayer responded via social media.

“Bruce doing medical Tues. Sad to see him go but success breeds opportunities. Club actively pursuing all options,” Mayer wrote on Twitter.

Djite joins former Melbourne Victory defender Adrian Leijer at Suwon.
