The striker, who found form with 11 goals for the A-League champions last season, has previously played in China with Jiangsu Sainty along with two years in Turkey.
Djite’s exit follows Craig Goodwin, Stefan Mauk, Bruce Kamau and Pablo Sanchez who’ve all left the champions this off-season.
After the Adelaide Advertiser broke the story on Monday, Mayer responded via social media.
“Bruce doing medical Tues. Sad to see him go but success breeds opportunities. Club actively pursuing all options,” Mayer wrote on Twitter.
Djite joins former Melbourne Victory defender Adrian Leijer at Suwon.
