LONDON - Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has been charged with improper conduct, the Football Association (FA) said on Friday.
Championship Palace, who are in administration, had their hopes of progress dashed after a late goal in the 2-2 fifth-round draw with Aston Villa on February 14, provoking Warnock to call for the referee to be banned.
The London club were eliminated after a 3-1 replay loss away to Villa on Wednesday.
Warnock, along with Bolton Wanderers forward Kevin Davies and Championship club Sheffield United's manager Kevin Blackwell, was charged over comments made during February league games.
They have until March 12 to respond.
