Women's World Cup 2023 kits: Every home and away kit for every nation so far

Women's World Cup 2023 kits are in the process of being released by manufacturers ahead of the summer tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

With shirts for the men's World Cup in Qatar taking priority at the end of 2022, many of the women's shirts are currently being dripfed in the weeks and months up to the competition itself. The women's kits for the 32 nations contesting the World Cup will certainly take centre stage, though, before Premier League kits and European kits inevitably begin to dominate public discourse once again.

With Nike shirts and Adidas shirts releasing some of their designs, brands such as Puma are keeping their kits close under wraps for now. With that being said, here's everything we know so far.

Colombia

Natural beauty personified

The yellow pops on the colourful backdrop
A uniquely Colombian design
Perhaps a little too abstract...

Reflecting the kaleidoscopic colours of the Cano Cristales, the beautiful multi-colours produced during the reproductive process of the aquatic plants in the country's river, this design is uniquely Colombian - and we're all here for it.

True, the shirt seems more of a fashion statement than a football kit, but seeing their players score goals in this number would certainly add to the spectacle. Adding the yellow Adidas branding and Colombia badge is a nice touch, too.

Costa Rica

Sleek and modern with a classic blue trim, this is a strong first attempt from Adidas

Sizes:

Delightful blue trim collar
The red is a little dull
Utilised on a stock Adidas design, the shirt isn't bespoke at all

Not the most exciting of options, Adidas have kept it safe after taking over from New Balance as Costa Rica's kit manufacturer for their first design.

Based on the old Adidas mi License 2022 template, the shirt is certainly too bland and doesn't have any standout uniqueness. While the colours work well together, it's just a little, well, boring. It also features the German brand's old logo, suggesting there hasn't been as much effort in this piece as Costa Ricans would have perhaps liked.

Now that is something worth getting excited about

Gold. Pinstripes.
Super clean
Old Adidas logo takes away from the aesthetics

Here at FourFourTwo, we're a sucker for a pinstripe - add those fine lines to any kit and it's automatically a lot nicer aesthetically. Make them gold, and you're onto a winner. The gold/black collar pops against the white base, with the gold pinstripes adding something more exciting to the kit.

Let's hope Costa Rica are the away side more often than not for the duration of their tournament.

Denmark

Denmark's kits for the Women's World Cup 2023 haven't been released.

England

Germany

Adidas Germany World Cup 2023 home shirt

A royal-looking shirt fit for the two-time champions

Fresh look for Germany
Touches of gold are majestic
Simple and sophisticated
Could maybe do with a couple more touches of crimson
No difference to the men's kit

With regal touches of gold and a completely white back, this Germany shirt feels fresh and new. The centralised badge and Adidas logo are also extremely clean.

It's slightly disappointing that the women's kit hasn't changed from the one the men's team wore in Qatar, though,

Germany's deep green woodland bought to life

Gold crest and logos pop against the dark green
Might not stand out on the pitch

Inspired by the various deep green woodland areas found within the country, Adidas have opted for a change of tact with Germany's away kit. The deep green hues and handmade swirling graphic bring a sense of individuality to the shirt, too.

Such dark shades might not stand out on a pitch during a game, though - FourFourTwo will reserve complete judgement until seeing it in action.

Haiti

Italy

Marble-ous!

Italian flag trim featured
Marble pattern
Quite light for an Italian blue

Though not a brand anyone would associate with being Italy's kit manufacturer, Adidas have done a stellar job on their first iteration of the shirt. While the same as the men's kit, the women's team will actually get to wear their kit at a major international tournament.

With the trim in the colours of the Italian flag, there are plenty of subtle details coursing throughout the Azzurri jersey to get fans excited.

Something different... to say the least

Marble design accentuated further
Delicious shade of blue
Adidas logo too dark in comparison
A bit too much happening

Adidas have gone bold for this shirt, and we're not convinced it has paid off. The white and blue work in tandem extremely well, but the pattern is reminiscent of handing a three-year-old a paintbrush and giving them free reign on a blank piece of paper.

Jamaica

Honouring the Caribbean spirit without any real flair

Well-executed collar
Too safe
Dull green

As previously mentioned, FFT are a sucker for a pinstripe - but on Jamaica's shirt, it's not really doing it for us. Perhaps it's the lack of boldness from the green, which could have been deeper to enhance the image of the shirt.

Regrettably, it's slightly too safe, though it'll likely be gracing festivals up and down the land in a similar way to Nigeria's 2018 number.

Playing it safe with a retro-inspired design

Retro design
Brown and pale yellow?
Could be a Mexico kit

It's all just a bit, well, boring - don't you think?

The base colour is actually 'night brown', while the accents are pale yellow. Just make it black and gold, or, even better yet, similar to that Bob Marley-inspired Ajax kit from the 2021/22 season.

Japan

Shield your eyes to look at this masterpiece

Vibrant
Exciting
Japanese flag on the neck
Change the Adidas logo to pink and there's simply no faults to pick

Adidas have really gone all-out for the Land of the Rising Sun, and they've well and truly delivered. Utilising the colours of the cherry blossom and capturing the colour-shifting vibrancy of a sunrise, the pink and purple on this kit will certainly ensure they aren't missed on the pitch.

Just maybe take your sunglasses if you plan to watch them in action in Australia and New Zealand.

Morocco

Morocco's kits for the Women's World Cup 2023 haven't been released.

Panama

Raglan sleeves
The blue v-neck gives old-school vibes
Why don't the sleeves feature the same pattern as the rest of the shirt?

Interesting to see Reebok back on a football shirt again, Panama's home shirt features hexagonal patters which are reminiscent of those black-and-white footballs everyone drew as a kid.

Raglan sleeves and the blue accents throughout provide excellent contrast, though, helping differentiate Panama's kit from other red jerseys available.

Plain and simple doesn't always work - especially not with a predominantly white shirt

Geometric raglan sleeves
Minimal effort
Uninspiring design

Sticking with the same template as the home shirt, Reebok have simply replaced the red with white and thought they'd better stop there. Granted, the sleeves have incorporated a geometric pattern different to that of the home shirt, but it's all just a bit boring and showing a lack of effort.

Plus, you'd be forgiven for mistaking this for a pyjama top.

Philippines

Adidas Philippines World Cup 2023 home shirt

Does the job - but a little too basic

Nice contrast of reds used
Diagonal design is a bit strange
Lack of individuality

While not the most exciting design in the world, at least the Philippines' home shirt is a little different to everything else at the tournament. It's a shame the striped pattern doesn't carry over to the back of the shirt, though, with just the front featuring the interesting diagonals.

"Just stick the crest on one of our old training tops, that'll do a job"

N/A
Unimaginative
Uninspiring
Unusable

Quite literally a training top, Adidas have just stuck the Philippines crest onto their Squadra 21 template and nothing more. Walk down to your local 5-a-side on a Tuesday night and you'll see three blokes sporting this shirt - albeit without the Philippines crest.

The navy is boring, the sleeves poor and don't even get us started on the collar.

Give the people what they want!

Designed and voted for by fans
Heads back to the country's roots
Funky
Shirt number isn't legible

Le Coq Sportif and South Africa allowed fans to submit designs for the home, away and third shirts of the national team, after receiving heavy criticism for past editions.

South African designer Lwazi Ngcungama won the vote, and will have to work closely with the South African Football Association to deliver a kit approved by FIFA. Regardless, the home shirt features the traditional colours of the country, and is a work of art.

Cleaner alternative to the funky home option

Green and gold work in perfect harmony
Different to home shirt despite similar design
Gold could be brightened slightly

Reversing the design of the home shirt, the away jersey does away with the yellow and instead implements two tones of green to create a large enough difference between both kits. The gold accents stand out on the green as a result, making this a stylish choice from fans.

A tribute act like no other

Pays homage to an iconic South African kit
Unique design and colours are unseen anywhere else
Maybe a little too much going on

A tribute to the most-favoured South Africa 1996 AFCON-winning kit, South Africa's third kit is white, gold, black and green, featuring horizontal stripes of differing sizes and blocked patterns to create something truly unique.

The collar and cuffs incorporate subtle gold shapes, too, ensuring you're unable to take your eyes off the details throughout.

Spain

Making an already lovely design that bit better

Plenty of colour but nothing is offensive
Centralised crest and logo
The blue seam on the ribcage could be done away with

Using a similar pale blue base to the men's away shirt, Adidas have added some flamboyance to the women's version to make it really stand out.

The darkening purple graphics on the torso and sleeves are intended to recreate underwater plant life and coral - brave but brilliant.

Sweden

Sweden's blue and yellow often works wonders when paired together, and for this shirt it's no exception. Inspired by the icy water around the Scandinavian country, we can see what they're trying to do with the patchy royal blue base - but we can't help but wonder how much nicer it would be if it was just one solid colour.

You can never have too many flags

The subtle diamond graphic
The red is a little dark in comparison to the flag

Of course, Vietnam's classic red is the home shirt's main colour, but it's the gold which truly adds any semblance of character to it.

What's most interesting about this shirt is the subtle graphic applied, with diamond outlines having their intersection points containing a star. Obviously inspired by the flag, it repeats all over the shirt and is a nice little touch.

Turn your collar up, Eric Cantona style

Red polo collar with gold stars
Marble graphic

Mainly white, the Grand Sport Vietnam away shirt utilises a marble graphic all over the front and sleeves. A classic red polo collar with a golden star on each side adds some character to the jersey, and we can't wait to see what this looks like on the pitch.
