Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to see a reaction from his Manchester United players in the derby against Manchester City after crashing out of the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Red Devils were beaten 3-2 by RB Leipzig to exit at the group stages and drop into the Europa League, while City cruised through to the last 16 with a 3-0 win over Marseille.
Only one point separates the two sides in the table, with United narrowly ahead of their neighbours after 10 games each.
Victory for either side would send them into the top four with a game in hand over all of the sides currently occupying the Champions League qualification spots.
Anthony Martial is available again after missing the trip to Germany through injury, but Edinson Cavani’s fitness will need to be assessed.
United recorded a league double over their rivals for the first time in 10 years last season, while they are aiming to record five league wins in a row for the first time since Solskjaer took over in December 2018.
However, the Red Devils have registered just four of their 19 Premier League points at home this season, scoring just three goals at Old Trafford.
