Five new gaffers will be taking charge of their first Premier League matches this season, and Steve Bruce is very much not one of them.
Promoted trio Chris Wilder, Daniel Farke and Dean Smith are joined by top-flight newbs Frank Lampard and Graham Potter in taking their first shots at the big time – and in Super Frank’s case, this is only his second season as a manager full stop.
Farke and Wilder in particular won’t be expecting to see their name on this quiz any time soon, mind – they have the misfortune of sharing the same surname first letter as the Premier League’s all-time leaders. They’ll have to make do with the glory of survival instead.
