Central Coast Mariners swapped the pitch for the putter as they got into the pre-season swing with a Coporate Golf Day on Wednesday.
It was a case of the good, the bad and what the...?! as the players teed off at The Springs GC in Gosford for a welcome break from training.
In all, 18 corporate teams and sponsors were helped (or hindered) by the A-League lads, with skipper John Hutchinson drawing the long straw when he linked up with eventual winners Hub Systems.
The less said about some the better, but the club's Head of Sports Science Tim Knight and Nick Montgomery had the rub of the green, while young gun Hayden Morton came close to Mariners immortality when he looked like bagging a hole in one, only to see the ball bounce out.
