Debut goals from Wade Dekker and Filip Holosko saw Melbourne City and Sydney FC play out a 1-1 draw at Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday night.
Dekker, making his first ever A-League start for the club, opened the scoring for City on 16 minutes after he was played through by Bruno Fornaroli.
City were close to going into the break with a 1-0 lead but a late goal from Slovakian import Filip Holosko saw the side's go into the rooms level.
George Blackwood had the chance to win the game in the dying stages but City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen produced a brilliant save to deny the Sydney youngster.
