Celtic’s returning Socceroo Tom Rogic isn't guaranteed a comeback appearance as the champions' season winds down with a clash with St Johnstone on Friday night.
Rogic returned to the Hoops bench last Sunday in a 1-0 win over Aberdeen after more than 12 months absent from the first team due to injury.
Celtic have already wrapped up the Scottish title and travel to St Johnstone in the penultimate round of fixtures for the 2014-15 season.
Rogic has only managed a handful of appearances for the club’s Development Side since returning to fitness last month.
A first-team return would be a major boost for Rogic, but Celtic coach John Kennedy said they wouldn’t be handing out games.
“There may be one or two but there won’t be wholesale changes,” Kennedy said.
“Even though we’re not in the cup final and we’ve got two games remaining with the league won, we’ve got players here who want to finish the season on a high.
“They want to stay in the team and they want to play in the last two games so it’s getting the balance of that as well.
“It’s one of these things, especially going into the last game, especially on trophy day, every single player in that dressing room will want to play.
“It’s the same tomorrow night as they’ll see that as an opportunity to play in the last game so that’s where we’re at right now.
“We’ve got a group of players who are always pushing each other for selection and there’s no difference now even though we’ve already won the league.”
Kennedy added: “If you asked Scot Brown if he wanted to miss a game he’d probably slap you in the face, so he wants to play in every game and that’s the type of character we have here.
“It’s a good thing and we’ve certainly not downed tools, we still have a big focus on the last two games and that starts [tonight].”comments
