Confusion over Milligan's Bani Yas move

Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan appears certain to move to Bani Yas, but confusion remains over whether the deal has been done.

Tweets from the UAE Pro League club on Tuesday suggested it had signed the Socceroos midfielder to a two-year deal.

The series of tweets said Milligan had signed a contract, with further details to be announced.

But the 29-year-old said the deal was not yet done, according to Fox Sports.

Milligan's move to Bani Yas has been expected since he won the Joe Marston Medal in the Victory's 3-0 grand final victory over Sydney FC.

The 39-time Australia international was linked to Bani Yas in early 2014 before that deal fell through.

However, it seems only a matter of time before his move to the UAE is official.

Bani Yas finished eighth in the league last season.
