Former Western Sydney Wanderers and Gold Coast United goalkeeper Jerrad Tyson has signed a two-year deal with Perth Glory.
Tyson, 25, heads west after spending a season with Sun Pegasus in the Hong Kong Premier League.
The former Olyroo and Young Socceroo said his focus was on getting regular game time.
"I’m very happy to have made the jump across to WA," Tyson said.
"Glory is a great club with lots of talent and excellent coaching staff, so I’m looking forward to the next challenge ahead.
"Regular game time will be my focus but that’s down to me and impressing the coaches at training."
Glory coach Kenny Lowe welcomed the signing and said Tyson was good enough to be a number one.
"Jerrad’s been playing at a competitive level for some time now. He’s got the pedigree and massive potential to break out and be a number one goalkeeper," he said.
"He has played at some of the best clubs in the A-League so he’s going to be a very important player for us."
Tyson will have a big spot to fill after Danny Vukovic's departure to the Melbourne Victory.
He joins Antony Golec and Alex Grant in having signed for the Glory ahead of the 2015-16 season.comments
