Olyroos hold Brazil to 2-2 draw

A late penalty converted by Mustafa Amini has seen the Olyroos hold Brazil to a 2-2 draw in China on Friday night.

Sydney FC forward Corey Gameiro put Australia ahead on 21 minutes but Brazil managed to squeeze in an equalising goal right before half-time.

Brazil then took control of the game by going 2-1 ahead on 66 minutes before Amini cooly slotted home his spot-kick in injury-time.

The South Americans also finished the game with 10 men with the player who fouled Gameiro for the penalty sent off by the referee.

The Olyroos are currently in China for a four-team tournament which also features hosts China PR and Korea Republic.

The next game will take place against China on Sunday before their final game against Korea on Tuesday 18 November.
