Former Brisbane Roar linchpin Erik Paartalu has joined Thai side Muangthong United on a one year deal, the club has confirmed.
Paartalu, 27, was a key part of the Roar side which dominated the A-League under Ange Postecoglou after the towering midfielder joined from Scottish side Greenock Morton.
He left to join Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda last year on a two year deal but was released to be a free agent.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the Thai league because Thailand is the most attractive league in Asia," he was quoted as saying on the club's website.
"And with my practical experience of league football in Australia and China already, it will help ensure the team is definitely stronger ".
