Brisbane Roar have left Jerome Polenz and Jean Carlos Solorzano out of their 29-man AFC Champions League squad.
The Roar, who open their campaign against Beijing Guoan on Wednesday, left out Polenz and Solorzano due to the AFC's 3+1 rule.
Thomas Broich, Henrique and new signing Andrija Kaluderovic got the nod as the three internationals.
With no international from an Asian nation, it meant both German Polenz and Costa Rican Solorzano were left out.
Roar direct of football Ken Stead said it was disappointing to have to leave out both.
“It’s unfortunate but we could only pick three players under the rules,” he said in a statement.
“That said, as a club, we are excited about this upcoming AFC Champions League campaign and look forward to the challenge of playing against some of Asia’s best teams."
Brisbane will also face Urawa Reds and Suwon Bluewings in Group G.
