Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan's move to Bani Yas has been confirmed by the A-League champions.
Victory confirmed they have agreed to terms with the UAE club, which can complete the signing when its transfer period commences on July 15.
The successful move is conditional upon the processing of the transfer documentation by the UAE FA and FFA.
Victory coach Kevin Muscat thanked Milligan and said the opportunity was too good for the Socceroos midfielder, who is set to join Bani Yas for the next two seasons, to turn down.
"Mark has been a wonderful servant for Melbourne Victory who has led by example at every opportunity," Muscat said.
"He won the Victory Medal in 2012/13 and played a major role in our premiership-championship double last season.
"The offer from Bani Yas presents a significant opportunity for Mark and his family that he would like to pursue.
"We wish Mark all the very best for the future and thank him for his service to the club."
Milligan made 73 A-League appearances for the Victory after arriving in January 2012.
He captained the team to their premiership-championship double, winning the Joe Marston Medal in their 3-0 win over Sydney FC in the grand final.comments
