Strikers Connor Pain and Fahid Ben Khalfallah scored two goals each as reigning A-League champions Melbourne Victory beat Port Melbourne Sharks 4-0 in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.
Pain struck twice in the opening half – his second goal a brilliant effort from the edge of the box – while Ben Khalfallah added two goals of his own after the break in front of around 2000 fans at JL Murphy Reserve.
New signing Danny Vukovic made his first appearance in Victory colours, while Dylan Murnane, Leigh Broxham, Matthieu Delpierre and Daniel Georgievski started in defence.
Rashid Mahazi, Carl Valeri and Ben Khalfallah were lively in midfield, with Pain, Archie Thompson and Kosta Barbarouses creating plenty of chances up front for Victory.

Pain opened the scoring after 24 minutes, pouncing on a low and direct pass from Thompson before driving it past Port Melbourne goalkeeper Michael Stark.
He then doubled Victory's advantage nearly 15 minutes later with a powerful strike that flew into the top corner of the net.
Victory continued to control the tempo of the game throughout the second half and was rewarded when Barbarouses was fouled in the penalty area, with Ben Khalfallah converting from the spot.
Ben Khalfallah struck again minutes later, heading home a superb ball from Barbarouses as Victory recorded its third pre-season win from three matches.
Victory now turns its attention to next week’s Westfield FFA Cup 2015 Round of 16 clash with Rockdale City Suns at Jubilee Oval on Tuesday, September 1.
